Are You Ready for Summer?

It's shorts weather, finally, and one of our favorite collections has arrived to get us completely in the mood--G1 Basic Goods. We love the lightness and incredible comfort of the G1 paper twill shorts, capris and skirts.

At right are two of our staff favorites. Heather, our recently promoted Assistant Buyer, loves the "Cool Whip" skirt because she feels "white is the new black" and she felt the pockets were just the right size in the back. Just a tip, Heather is a perfect size 6 and that size fit her perfectly.

Catherine, our new Assistant Manager, loves the G1 Long Short in Dreamsicle. It is relaxed, yet not slobbed out. The wonderful thing about these pieces is that they are as comfortable as your yoga pants, but you are soooo much cuter. Just throw on a Grassroots t-shirt, a leather thong sandal and you're set for summer.

Come in and see us, we're open Saturday 11-6 and and Sunday 12-5 so we can help you accomplish that casual, polished look for the Memorial Day barbecue.

New Shirts Arrive at Public I --- Pure Perfection

A Good Shirt is Hard to Find...

Really! It is difficult to find a really good shirt that is done in a great cotton, in a good fit and at the right price. I know you may have wondered if you were asking for too much, but we at Public I didn't think so.

After much searching, negotiating, and begging (if it works I'm not above that), we found Pure. They are an Italian line that has been producing beautiful shirts for more than 40 years. (I figure they spent the first 30 or so years working the kinks out and have it perfected by now.) The cut of their shirts is dead-on, the washed cotton will leave you wanting to stand in your closet caressing them (what you do in the closet, stays in the closet) and the colors are infinitely wearable.

So, a good shirt is hard to find for everyone else, except you.
